The Colorado Licensed Beverage Association has been pro-active in offering alcohol server training for several decades. Starting with the TiPS program in the 80’s and 90’s, we took a new direction this year when we applied for and received certification from Colorado Liquor Enforcement to begin instructing our unique training class.

The Colorado Alcohol Sales Training education program teaches graduates to:

• Help stop drunk driving and other alcohol related problems before they occur.
• Allow liquor retailers, law enforcement, elected officials, and citizens to work together to solve common problems.
• Effectively curb underage purchases and use of alcohol and tobacco.
• Train liquor retailers, bartenders and servers how to deal with problem situations.
• Give liquor retailers a thorough understanding of Colorado law.
• Enhance profits, reduce expenses, and make better tips while improving customer service.

CAST© complies with the Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division standards for a seller and server training program pursuant to the Colorado Responsible Vendor Act.  The CAST Program was certified on 1/5/2012.
